Market-leading woodcare manufacturer Ronseal has developed an innovative Eco range of woodcare products. Ronseal Eco is a high performance range which delivers long lasting results ensuring the wood in peoples homes lasts longer.

Where appropriate the products use resins derived from plant oils which significantly reduce the level of crude oil derived petrochemical content compared to traditional coatings. The plant resins naturally enhance and protect wood and come from crops harvested using strictly ecological farming methods. Manufacturing methods use less water and energy compared to acrylic based resins. Each product is water- based and has low levels of VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) content making them better for the user and the environment. Ronseal Eco packaging is made from material which is up to 40% recycled and is 100% recyclable.

For superb protection of interior wood there is Ronseal Eco Varnish and Ronseal Eco Floor Varnish. Both use resins extracted from Castor Oil due to its superior hardness. These resist abrasion and damage from chemicals, water and alcohol better than solvent-based or standard water-based varnishes.

There are three high performance products for exterior wood. Where appropriate they use Linseed Oil resins which have excellent weather protection properties and inherent flexibility for the coating to move with the substrate as temperatures fluctuate.
